Ex-Exhibition Print - Skydivers - 1978

Duffy was known for taking on challenges and this photo was taken for Smirnoff in 1978 proves it! The shoot was off a bluff in the Yorkshire dales and less than 20 frames were shot to get this image. The skydivers and model were narrowly supported on scaffold poles (which were later touched out of the photo) 40 feet up in the air with no safety net. Below a huge fan created the wind effect. When this ad went up on huge billboards people couldn’t figure out how it was done and this ad literally stopped traffic!
