The session was for The Sunday Times Magazine, published on the 20th of June, 1965. Sy Weintraub then owned the sole rights to the Tarzan for Movie and TV. At the time, the working title for the movie was 'Tarzan 66' and Weintraub was inspired to make the brand more like the James Bond franchise. This led to the casting of Mike Henry, over the 400 actors he interviewed for the role of Tarzan.
