For his third Vogue cover, Duffy photographed a model wearing an Otto Lucas fur cloche and Michael Gosschalk gold and turquoise earrings for a feature on Paris fashions.

The issue also featured a portrait of John Cassavetes for an article titled "Shadows and Substance" by Mary Holland. The piece was about Cassavetes first director credit for the 1959 improvisational film "Shadows."
